Reliability of non-invasive cardiac and vascular assessment methods

Project:

Reliability of non-invasive cardiac and vascular assessment methods.

Team:

    Aim:

    1. The aim of the present studies is to test and evaluate non-invasive techniques to assess cardiac and vascular in an attempt to improve risk stratification and clinical outcomes.

    Research Overview:

Gold standard methods for determining cardiac and vascular function are invasive, require specialist expertise and are associated with inherent risks and complications such as catheter-related infections, arrhythmias and bleeding. Therefore valid, reliable, patient friendly, easy-to-operate, and cheap non-invasive methods can improve clinical care and patient outcomes in different clinical settings.

    Research Importance:

Non-invasive methods for the assessment of cardiac and vascular function can help improve diagnosis, prognosis, risk stratification and patients outcomes.
